HEIC (Yüksek Verimlilikli Görüntü Konteyneri)

HEIC, HEVC (H.265) video codec'ine dayalı modern bir görüntü formatı olup Apple cihazlarda varsayılan fotoğraf formatı olarak kullanılmaktadır. JPEG'e kıyasla yaklaşık %50 daha iyi sıkıştırma sunarken derinlik haritaları ve canlı fotoğraflar gibi özellikleri destekler. HEIC dosyaları daha küçük boyutlarda daha yüksek kaliteyi korur ancak Apple ekosistemi dışında sınırlı desteğe sahiptir.

Teknik Detaylar

HEIC, 10 bit renk, alfa saydamlığı ve görüntü dizileri desteğiyle HEVC kare içi sıkıştırma kullanır. Görüntüleri ISO Temel Medya Dosya Formatı (ISOBMFF) konteynerinde depolar.

Gecmis

HEIC, 2015 yılında MPEG-H Bölüm 12'nin (ISO/IEC 23008-12) bir parçası olarak standartlaştırılmıştır. Apple, iOS 11 (2017) ile varsayılan iPhone kamera formatı olarak benimsemiştir.
